Relais Poggio del Sole

Very nice place, clean room, beautiful pool. It really is "emerged in green" - without the car you can forget about reaching it. But it is located very close to Perugia, also quite close to Assisi. The landscape is very nice. The restaurant serves local dishes made of local products - you have to wait for it a little, but it's good and it' fresh. And it's a lot. We spend a nice days there and we wouldn't mind coming back :-)

Fantastic! Stayed as a couple in this splendid Relais in the first days of January 2024, wonderful experience. Let's start from the objective data: Beautiful and well-maintained structure, spacious rooms, well furnished, clean and comfortable (slightly hard mattresses), nice bathroom complete with everything. Chic dining room and warm atmosphere, well-made cuisine with excellent quality raw materials, everything of the highest quality with many local products, they didn't skimp at all even if we used smart boxes. Perfect breakfast, homemade cakes, delicious, sweet and savory for all tastes. The wait staff was very kind. However, the difference was made by the great availability of the entire property, having had a major mechanical problem, the owner (Debora) and her collaborators did their utmost to help us solve it, accompanying us to the tire dealer and helping us in all possible ways. An infinite thank you for your help, which is not at all to be taken for granted, synonymous with respectable people well beyond professional duty. Last consideration, we discovered a wonderful region on this holiday, Umbria fascinated us, Perugia is beautiful, an Italian jewel, all the interesting and well-kept villages (Spello is certainly among the most beautiful villages in Italy), a region that has been well administered for a long time tradition, but unfortunately the secondary and municipal roads are DISASTROUS, among the worst in Italy.... coming from those who have traveled far and wide from north to deep south

End of year dinner. After the welcome aperitif, the starters arrived, with decent presentation and taste. Then the first courses, depending on whether the seafood or land menu. On the seafood menu there were paccheri seasoned with lobster sauce (not even the smell), replaced by shrimp and tufts of octopus. The second courses: for the land menu there was the tagliatelle with truffles; but the truffle must have been old because it smelled of mold. For the rest normal foods. Discreet service. There was also a duo who enlivened the evening with songs blasted at full volume in a room that wasn't even that big. Hmm!? Price appropriate for the evening.

We stayed in this relais for 2 nights via SmartBox, a beautiful and highly recommended experience... the owners and all the staff were very kind from the first moment we arrived! As for the food, I find it commendable that the majority of the dishes are homemade! Both dinner and breakfast were fabulous 😍 It's a shame that we weren't able to use the pool, we hope to return when there is warmer weather

I have a negative review of the overnight stay. On the floor below our room an evening had been organized with loud music until 1am. It was not possible to rest or sleep until that time, despite our repeated complaints. I find it extremely rude and not very competent from a hotel management point of view to let people sleep near a room where parties are organized with deafening music until late. Rather don't take reservations when you organize this kind of party!!!!!! I strongly advise against this establishment.
